You Can’t Take it With You tells the story of Tony Kirby, the son of a Wall Street banker, who falls in love with Alice Sycamore from an eccentric family. The couple fear that their different backgrounds will make marriage impossible, but decide to plan a dinner at the Sycamores' home to see if they are wrong. However, when Tony brings his family on the wrong night, a series of disastrous and hilarious events occur.
